Moving On
An Update from Missionary Teri
Back in the summer of 2014, documents were signed that turned an ordinary building into what would officially become The House. We have come a long way since then, and thanks to your continued prayers and support, we were able to make the final mortgage payment in March of this year.
The House is 100% ours, and we are pleased to say that we are able to turn our focus to what God is calling us to do at the House of Healing.
OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN GUATEMALA
We are now established and growing in new relationships with people of San Lucas Tolimán and San Antonio Palopó. We are discovering many needs such as clean water, safe housing, safe and economical cooking, protection for children and women (and yes, sometimes men) from domestic abuse, alcoholism and drug addiction.
OUR HOUSE
We also need some physical structures such as a kitchen, guardian’s quarters, store room, housing for interns along with more housing for guests. We also see a need for a place where pastors and missionaries can come for a safe and peaceful time off from the demands that surround us.
OUR MISSION AND VISION
We are in the process of combining my ministry (work with extremely poor families, kids’ programs, scholarships, house and stove building, water projects, etc.) with the vision of House of Healing. This is happening as we look at succession planning, discerning God’s vision for future leadership. Now is the time for all of this to come together.

Consider a monetary gift. You can make a one-time donation, or become a monthly donor. Donations made to The House are tax-deductible and help us in our mission. Donations will also allow us to have more Guatemalans involved in the ministries of House of Healing, both as paid staff and volunteers. See our Giving page for more information.

There are many ways that you can stay in touch with us and help us spread the word about the incredible work we do at The House. You can follow our blog and connect with us on Facebook. We love to hear from you!
GET INVOLVED
There are countless ways to get involved in our mission:
- In addition to monetary donations, you can also collect items that are in need at The House, such as clothing, shoes, toys and medical supplies.
- Get involved with fundraising. Churches that send teams to The House regularly hold fundraisers, and there are fundraising events we hold throughout the year as well. What a beautiful way to help build relationships with others!
- You can visit! There’s nothing quite like being here, so consider coming to visit. You may want to join or organize a mission team to travel to Guatemala.
